U.S. Captures WJAC Title
Team of USHL stars beat Canada East, 4-0, in championship game.

The U.S. Junior Select Team, comprised of USHL stars and featuring 20 NCAA commits, won the 2016 World Junior A Challenge with a 4-0 championship game victory against Canada East Saturday in Bonnyville, Alta.
Cayden Primeau (Northeastern) posted his second shutout of the tournament in the title game, and was joined on the all-tournament team by forward Nick Swaney (Minnesota Duluth).
The tournament championship was the seventh for the United States in the 10-year history of the World Junior A Challenge. The U.S. finished the event with four straight victories after falling to the Czech Republic, 1-0, in the tournament opener.
Canada East’s Owen Grant (Vermont) and Canada West’s Cale Makar (Massachusetts) joined Primeau and Swaney on the all-tournament team.
