Women’s Notes: Yale Extends Win Streak to 11

Ray and DiAntonio Lead Bulldogs’ Offense

Women’s Notes: Yale Extends Win Streak to 11
Jordan Ray leads the Bulldogs in scoring with 38 points.

The Yale Bulldogs are riding the nation’s longest active win streak with 11 straight victories, marking the program’s longest streak since the 2022-23 season when Yale won 15 consecutive games. Since a loss to Brown on Dec. 6, 2025, the Bulldogs have posted 11 straight wins with three shutouts, outscoring opponents 48-16 during that span.

Yale is ranked ninth nationally and sits third in the ECAC Hockey standings with a 19-7-0 overall record and a 13-5-0 mark in conference play. The Bulldogs have also been dominant at home, compiling an 11-2-0 record at Ingalls Rink.

Leading the charge is senior forward Jordan Ray (Viera, Fla.), who reached 133 career points to tie Claire Dalton (2018-23) for third all-time at Yale. Ray also recorded her 50th career goal, placing her sixth in program history and putting her on pace to surpass fifth ranked Elle Hartje (2019-24) and Lisa Meyers (1997-01), who are tied with 52 career goals.

Junior Carina DiAntonio (Mississauga, Ontario) has fueled Yale’s offensive surge, leading the Bulldogs in goals and the ECAC in conference goals while riding a 13-point streak. She scored her team-leading 19th goal of the year and 56th of her career in a 5-2 win over Union, leaving her one goal shy of tying Chrysti Howser (2005-09) for third most in program history.

Ray and DiAntonio have been especially impactful during the 11-game streak, combining for 17 goals and 21 assists. Yale’s power play ranks second in the nation at 31.9 percent, trailing only top-ranked Wisconsin at 33.0 percent.

In net, freshman Samson Frey (Northport, N.Y.) has emerged as a steady presence. Frey earned a shutout in a 5-0 win over Sacred Heart on Nov. 28 before returning to action Jan. 2. The netminder is now 11-0 with four shutouts, a 0.97 goals-against average and a .955 save percentage.

Yale hosts Clarkson and St. Lawrence this weekend.

Notebook Quotebook:

“The most memorable thing about playing in these rinks is just the little girls looking up to you. You walk through the hallways, and there are little girls over there looking for your autograph. I think it’s just cool because you were once that girl, right? Looking up to the older player and imagining where you want to be eventually. Yeah, I think you always kind of looked up to where you wanted to be and what you wanted to do when you were older. And I think it’s everyone’s dream to play at this level as soon as you start playing hockey.”

— Bemidji State freshman forward Paige Smith (Gibbons, Alberta) discussed the impact of playing college games in Minnesota community rinks. Bemidji State upset No. 15 Mankato in the annual Hall of Fame game on Saturday. (source: BSU Athletics).
