Event Details for 2026 Hobey Baker Announcement

The 2026 Hobey Baker Memorial Award announcement, along with several other national college hockey awards, will be presented on Friday, April 10, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. PT (8:00 p.m. ET).

The event will take place at the Park MGM Presidio Ballroom, in Las Vegas. This is a FREE public event (no ticket required) and no credentials needed for media in attendance will be required. We will have special photographer locations and a section for media to sit in. Workspace will be provided for media. News gathering cameras are permitted for this event.

Friday Night at the Frozen Four, sponsored by BodyArmor, will be aired live on NHL Network with a one-hour show produced by the NHL. All national college hockey awards will be announced during this presentation. Attendees and media are encouraged to arrive by 4:30.

               Hobey Baker Memorial Award – honoring college hockey’s top player

               Mike Richter Award – honoring college hockey’s top goaltender

               Hockey Humanitarian Award – honoring college hockey’s top citizen athlete

               All-American Teams – First and Second teams from College Hockey Coaches Assoc.

               Derek Hines Award – honoring the nation’s unsung hero

               Tim Taylor Award – honoring the nation’s rookie of the year

The 2026 Hobey Baker Award winner, along with this year’s Hobey Baker Legend of College Hockey, Mike McShane, will be honored at an upcoming banquet and golf tournament in Lake Elmo, Minn.
